Students of the Faculty of Girls at the University celebrate the occasion of the Arab Orphan Day

Third Level Students - Islamic Studies - Girls Faculty, Al-Ahqaf University organized the annual celebration of Arab Orphan Day in Saydah Khadija Hall on Wednesday morning (17/4/2013). This celebration was opened with the recitation of some verses of the Holy Quran, recited by the student Salama Ramadan and followed by the opening speech delivered by Hafeedha Al-Thaqli. This celebration included a number of activities and segments that reflected the interest of our Islamic religion in this sector of the society "the orphans" and the care given for them and the importance of raising them according to the Islamic upbringing standards. Such activities presented were one nasheed song by the first and third level students of the Department of Islamic Studies as well as a play and competitions. The celebration was attended by a large number of orphans from the city of Mukalla. The celebration comes in recognition of the orphans and the participation of the University in creating smile and optimism on their faces, which is the least that the University can offer for the orphan children despite that such celebration must be continuous and not just one day. The celebration was ended by offering gifts and prizes to the orphans. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Babaker Al-Khader Tabeidi, Dean of the Faculty, and a number of professors and administrators of the faculty, and a large number of female students.
