The Faculty of Computer at Al-Ahgaff University holds a welcome and introductory meeting for first-level students for the academic year 2023 – 2024

On Wednesday morning, September 12, 2023, the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at Al-Ahgaff University held a welcome and introductory meeting for the first-level male and female students of the Information Technology (IT) Department.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Hamza Al-Aidaroos, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Dr. Muhammad Wahdain, Head of the Information Technology Department, Mr. Muhammad Al-Buri, Head of the English Language Unit and Director of Activities at the University, and Mr. Bassam Al-Tamimi, Faculty Registrar.

At the beginning, Dr. Hamza Al-Aidaroos welcomed the male and female students and thanked them for choosing Al-Ahgaff University and spoke about the excellent university experience it offers and the opportunities provided to them through free education and the university’s distinguished reputation.

The head of the department at the faculty also spoke about the role of the faculty and the extent of its influence on the market. He gave an overview of the current specializations and curricula that it is witnessing developments and updates to facilitate the educational process. He added that the existing staff is known with their competence and that the faculty provides its full capacity to help students throughout their years of study.

The head of the English Language and Activities Unit also spoke about the English proficiency program and its importance for the student and its connection to the specialization. He also touched on the types of cultural, artistic, intellectual, sports, poetic and other activities and events to diversify the student’s opportunities and reveal his talents.

Then, the faculty registrar spoke about the applicable university system in terms of attendance, absence, exams, expulsion, repetition, cheating and failure decisions, and grades in accordance with the rules and regulations prepared by the university presidency, wishing all students good luck and success at the beginning of their university study.

At the end of the meeting, the male and female students’ questions and inquiries were listened to and answered by the head of the department, the faculty registrar, and the director of the English language unit.
