The President of Al-Ahgaff University, Prof. Abdullah Muhammad Baharoon, accompanied by Ambassador Muhammad Erzan, Ambassador of Indonesia to Oman and Yemen - who is currently visiting the faculty to inspect the Indonesian students studying at the Faculty of Sharia and Law in Tarim - opened the Hadramout Research Center in the building of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Al-Ahgaff University in Tarim.
The President of the University cut the inauguration ribbon with the Indonesian Ambassador in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Abdullah Awadh bin Sumait, Dr. Arafat Al-Maqdi, Head of the Department of Sharia and Law, Mr. Zain bin Aqil, official of expatriates at the University, Dr. Hassan Barak Basaywed, Director of the Center at the Faculty of Sharia and Law, and a number of faculty teachers and employees.
The Director of the Center at the Faculty of Sharia and Law stated in an interview with him that the Hadramout Research Center is a scientific center specialized in conducting research, studies, consulting, training, and holding conferences, seminars and scientific research seminars.
Dr. Basaywed, director of the center, indicated that the center is concerned with shedding light on Hadramout, past, present and future, due to its ancient historical status and importance.
The Center also seeks to provide financial, economic, social, Sharia and legal consultations and studies, and to provide support and assistance to technical and professional institutions in Hadramout through the establishment of several programs, including the scientific research and studies program, the vocational, technical and technical training program, the sharia and legal consultations and studies program, and the establishment of capacity-building courses targeting young people in the fields of business administration, sharia, law, accounting, marketing, computer science and languages.
