Al-Ahgaff University celebrates the graduation of three new batches in different disciplines

The University of Al-Ahgaff held today (Monday) in the hall of Ali Houd Bhabad in the 'Insha'aat' area in Mukalla a farewell ceremony for 124 male and female graduates in different disciplines from three faculties for the academic year 2017/2018 representing the 20th batch of the Accounting and Management Departments at the Faculty of Administration and Economics, and the 7th batch of the Department of Information Systems, College of Engineering and Computer Science, and the 18th  batch of Islamic Studies Department, Girls College. The ceremony was honored by the presence of the Governor of Hadramout, Commander of the Second Military Region, Maj. Gen. Faraj Salemin Al-Bahsani, and the Chancellor of Al-Ahgaff University Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Baharoun and a number of officials and representatives of the leaders of Universities and scientific and research institutions, and the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Ahgaff University Dr. Sadiq Omar Maknoun, and the deans of the faculties of Al-Ahgaff University, as well as the teaching staff, professors, academic personalities, and parents and graduates.

 

At the celebration, which held the slogan "Despite the circumstances, we will ascend", the Governor of Hadramout commended the efforts exerted by the leadership and faculty at Al-Ahgaff University to achieve the University's educational mission and community service.

He said that they consider this university a model university for providing scientific and academic knowledge, and the graduation of many batches in various disciplines, stressing that such efforts are highly appreciated by the authority and the society in general, especially its leadership for showing patience and perseverance in achieving the mission of the university and the continuity of providing its educational service even in the darkest conditions and complex times.

Major General Al-Bahsani pointed out that this will have a great impact on the donors and benefactors to keep supporting the university, pointing out that the authority in Hadramout will support the university and provide it with the means to enable it to continue its role and fulfill its mission to the fullest as education is the foundation of the revival of the country.

The governor of Hadhramaut congratulated alumni and graduates from various faculties of Al-Ahgaff University for their celebration and success in their journey to the practical life and to contribute to the service of their country and its revival. He urged the graduates from the Republic of Indonesia and other Islamic countries to convey a good picture of education in Hadramout.

For his part, the university Chancellor described the celebration as a happy occasion for the graduation of the twentieth batch since the university began its educational career in December 1995, which is a testament to the university's struggle to offer free and unconditional education, except that the enrolled students keep hard working and that they are eligible to carry the name of Al-Ahgaff University and Hadramout. Noting that the university boasts that it includes male and female students from all regions of Hadramout and the rest of the provinces of Yemen and Islamic communities in Asia and Africa.

The university Chancellor thanked Major General Al-Bahsani for his efforts to keep Hadramout safe and secure and to provide opportunities for investment, growth and revival. He called upon him to complete his work and support for the university to continue its educational and scientific journey.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the head of the preparatory committee, the graduate; Ahmed Ali Bahashwan, gave the graduates' speech in which he thanked the parents, faculty and professors of the university and whoever helped them to achieve their success and their scientific and cognitive achievements and provided them with a suitable environment during their university studies. He called upon the Authority and employers to provide employment opportunities for graduates and to take advantage of their energies and abilities and their scientific and educational ideas that they studied at the university, which will be reflected positively on them and the community.

The ceremony, in which artistic and creative paragraphs were presented with the participation of artistic teams in addition to presentations from the Indonesian folklore presented by Indonesian students at the university, honoring graduates, teachers, sponsors and organizing committees, as well as granting the governor of Hadramout the shield of loyalty from the University of Al-Ahgaff in appreciation of his role and support for the educational process.
