Al-Ahgaff University participates in the second conference on e-learning

Al-Ahgaff University participated in the second conference on e-learning via the Zoom program, and the university was represented in that conference by the researcher Dr. Hashim Alawi Muqaibel who presented a research paper titled “Electronic Learning Challenges”.

 

The researcher pointed out in his research paper to shed light on the concept of e-learning and the basics of its application and conditions for its effective realization, in light of the modern global trend to apply this education at all levels of study, as many countries have begun to adopt e-learning as an educational method, the researcher also sought to highlight the most important challenges which can appear when applying this type of education, whether at the level of educational content or academic staff, and to develop solutions that seek to employ this type of education effectively so that the teacher who is able to understand his new role in managing this education is prepared, as well as the student who is accommodating to the challenges of the new era while benefiting from the experiences of the leading countries in this regard. In addition to establishing a future vision for the advancement of the educational level in line with the requirements of the digital era and its use for societal benefit by the sovereign educational institutions and the integration of these modern technologies through the development of well-studied plans and effective visions to achieve this end in light of the quest to highlight the points of connection between it and the educational process and use it optimally.

The researcher indicated that Al-Ahgaff University is the first university in Hadhramaut governorate to adopt e-learning, due to the interruption of education caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The conference was attended by university professors and a few from various faculties and Arab countries such as Jordan, Libya, Malaysia and others via the Zoom program.

 

About the researcher:

Dr. Hashim Alawi Abdullah Muqaibel, Assistant Professor of International Law and International Organizations from the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University.

He is considered the first Hadrami researcher in the field of international humanitarian law and was honored by the Governor of Hadhramaut Governorate. He is currently the university's legal advisor and head of its alumni affairs unit.
