In the presence of the Professor Al-Habib Abdullah bin Muhammad Baharoon, President of Al-Ahgaff University, Al-Habib Alawi bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah bin Abi Bakr Al-Attas, member of the University’s Board of Trustees, Sheikh Muhammad bin Ali Al-Khatib, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Dr. Abdullah Awadh bin Sumait, and the faculty, staff and students.

The Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University celebrated yesterday evening Wednesday 23 Rabi’ al-Anwar 1442 corresponding to 10/20/2022 AD on the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet (Al-Mawlid), may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, which the faculty celebrates on this day of the month of Rabi’ al-Anwar every year.

The ceremony included reading the biography of Samat Al-Durar for Al-Habib Imam Ali bin Muhammad Al-Habashi, which was interspersed with religious chants and Hadrami and Indonesian melodies.

Professor Al-Habib Abdullah bin Muhammad Baharoon, President of the University, gave a comprehensive speech in which he emphasized the strengthening of love for the Prophet, and realizing the prophetic beauty and perfection, and the occasion that unites Muslims with their Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and emphasized the necessity of enhancing joy in him and following his teachings.

In the ceremony, the winning students in the poetry competition were honored as this competition held by the Department of Activities and Media at the faculty under the title (Poetry competition in praise of the best of humans), in which the student Mashhour bin Ahmed bin Hassan Al-Haddad of the first level won the first place, while the second place was won by the student Mohieddin bin Ahmed Al-Somali from the third year level, they were honored with a certificate of appreciation and an award, and then they recited the two poems to the audience.

The dormitory students were also honored in the room cleanliness competition held by the Indonesian Students Union, where the Imam Al-Muhajir room, the Sheikh Abi Bakr bin Salem room, the Ibn Aqil room and the Imam Muhammad bin Hassan Jamal Al-Layl room won the competition, and their students were honored and took pictures with the university presidency.

Then conclude the ceremony with supplication and Al-Fatiha.
