In a solemn gathering, in the presence of Professor Habib Abdullah bin Muhammad Baharoon, President of Al-Ahgaff University, and Habib Alawi bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah bin Abi Bakr Al-Attas, member of the university’s trustees, and Habib Dr. Salem Attas Al-Jefri, the head of the Union of Muslim Scholars, the scholar Sheikh Muhammad bin Ali Al-Khatib, and the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Dr. Abdullah Awadh bin Sumait, and the faculty’s teachers, employees and students.

The Faulty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University celebrated this evening, Wednesday, 26 Rabi’ al-Anwar 1445, corresponding to 11/10/2023, the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, which the faculty commemorates on this day of the month of Rabi’ al-Anwar every year.

 

The ceremony included a reading of the biography of Samt al-Durar by Habib Imam Ali bin Muhammad al-Habashi, interspersed with religious songs and chants in Hadrami and Indonesian melodies.

The Professor Habib Abdullah bin Muhammad Baharoon, President of the University, spoke a comprehensive speech in which he congratulated the Muslim nation and those present who attended this noble occasion. He emphasized in his speech the strengthening of adherence to the religion of Islam and feeling honored by having it, and the knowledge of the reality of Muslims and the malicious attacks they are experiencing from the people of disbelief and atheism, and that the Muslim must reinforce in himself the greatness of this religion and its teachings and not to be drawn towards infidel ideas that try to deceive a Muslim and make him appear humiliated and submissive, and it is the duty of the student of knowledge to stand up to these attacks and fight them.

His Eminence, the Professor Habib Abdullah, called for the duty of every Muslim to support his nation and religion, and to stand with our Muslim brothers in Palestine and support them in the face of the attacks and aggression they are facing, in light of the Western world’s standing with the enemy, which requires every Muslim to play his role in supporting the nation and its issues. He concluded his speech with a prayer: Praying to God Almighty to grant victory to our mujahideen brothers in Palestine and to help them confront the enemy and its aggression.

 

Dr. Al-Habib Salem Attas Al-Jefri, President of the Union of Muslim Scholars, spoke in a speech in which he stressed the joy of this honorable occasion and pointed out the importance of the student doing his job of being patient in seeking knowledge and carrying out his duty toward that while reforming the intention and purifying the heart so that a person can thereby attain everything he desires and seeks.

 

At the ceremony, a poem was recited in praise of Khair al-Baria (Prophet Muhammad), by the student Muhyiddin bin Ahmed al-Somali, from the fourth-year level.

Dormitory students were also honored in the room cleanliness competition held by the Indonesian Students Union.

 

Then the ceremony concluded with supplication and Al-Fatihah.
