The Faculty of Arts adopts the semester system in its academic organization, whereby the credit unit serves as the basis for assigning relative weight to study tracks and evaluating students’ performance according to the following general regulations:
The language of instruction is English. However, the University Council may decide to use another language for teaching certain courses and subjects.
Undergraduate study consists of four academic years.
The academic year is divided into two independent semesters, each lasting 16 weeks, excluding the final examination period. The University Council determines the start and end dates of each academic year.
The number of courses in each semester shall not exceed eight courses.
The Faculty Guide specifies the study plan, including the courses offered, their distribution across academic years and semesters, and the number of credit hours assigned to each course.
The contents of each course are determined by a decision of the University Council based on the recommendation of the relevant department and the approval of the Faculty Council.
A student may not graduate until all required courses have been completed and the comprehensive examination has been successfully passed.
The academic regulations also familiarize students with the rules and systems related to admission, registration, examinations, academic progression, failure, course repetition, and other regulations and policies concerning student affairs.
