Dean's Message

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities has undertaken an academic and developmental mission aimed at preparing highly qualified human resources capable of contributing to the advancement and development of society. To achieve this goal, the Faculty has sought to provide the best academic plans and study programs that align with the realities and aspirations of society, as well as with the requirements of the modern era. This is accomplished through the continuous improvement of the academic performance of the teaching staff and the recruitment of highly qualified specialized professors.

  1. Preparing qualified cadres in various fields of humanities to contribute to achieving the community’s development plans and meeting labor market requirements.

  2. Contributing to the academic movement in humanities studies at the local, regional, and international levels through encouraging scientific research and organizing conferences, seminars, and specialized workshops.

  3. Promoting intellectual awareness in literature, languages, sociology, history, geography, and media studies in order to keep pace with scientific developments and connect them with contemporary issues, modern technological advancements, and community needs.

  4. Qualifying students academically and practically while providing them with sufficient knowledge of the English language with fluency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

  5. Enabling students to effectively engage with the English language through its various skills, sciences, arts, literature, and the fundamentals and rules of translation.

  6. Providing students with fundamental background knowledge in English literature and its various schools of thought.

  7. Preparing qualified students capable of overcoming complex challenges in English language studies, keeping pace with the latest teaching methods and approaches, and making optimal use of information technology and the Internet.

  8. Graduating qualified English language teachers equipped with the necessary competencies to work in intermediate and secondary schools.
