The Deanship of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation at Al-Ahgaff University organized a specialized training course on Saturday entitled “Self-Study and Techniques for Writing Academic Accreditation Standards Reports,” in partnership with Musab Center for Strategic Studies and Quality Development. The course was held as part of the University’s plan to qualify and develop its academic programs and fulfill the requirements for national academic accreditation.

The training was attended by representatives of the Deanship of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation, deans of faculties, and heads of academic departments.

At the opening of the course, the Vice President of Al-Ahgaff University, Professor Sadiq Omar Maknoon, emphasized the importance of organizing such specialized training programs, describing them as one of the fundamental pathways for developing academic performance and enhancing the quality of the University's educational programs. He noted that achieving academic accreditation requires systematic work, integration among the various components of the University, and a thorough understanding of the required standards and indicators.

Professor Maknoon urged participants to benefit from the course topics and apply the knowledge and skills gained to their academic work, contributing to improved performance and enhanced quality of educational programs. He affirmed the University leadership's commitment to supporting the efforts of the Deanship of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation and continuing its steps toward achieving quality standards and academic excellence.

The course was delivered by Dr. Warda Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, a quality assurance and accreditation expert at Musab Center for Strategic Studies and Quality Development. During the training program, she addressed a number of topics related to preparing self-studies and developing academic accreditation standards reports in a systematic and professional manner.

The course covered the concept of self-study and its importance in quality assurance and improving academic performance. It also reviewed the standards and indicators required for preparing the self-study of the Fiqh Program, as well as the scientific methods for collecting and analyzing relevant data and information and preparing supporting evidence and documentation reflecting the extent to which the program meets the required standards.

The training also included a practical component featuring hands-on exercises and training activities on methods of drafting self-study reports. This enabled participants to move from theoretical knowledge to practical application and gain a clearer understanding of the key requirements that should be considered when preparing self-study files and reports related to academic accreditation standards.

This course is part of a series of initiatives and training programs implemented by Al-Ahgaff University to strengthen its academic quality assurance system and develop its educational programs toward achieving academic accreditation in accordance with national accreditation requirements.
