Professor Maknoon Launches the 2026–2027 Academic Year at Al-Ahgaff University Faculties in Mukalla

Vice President of Al-Ahgaff University, Professor Sadiq Omar Maknoon, officially launched the new 2026–2027 academic year today, Sunday, at the University’s faculties in Mukalla.

The Vice President conveyed the congratulations of University President Professor Abdullah Mohammed Baharoon to all members of the University community on the occasion of the new academic year. He also commended the efforts of the academic and administrative staff and their role in maintaining discipline and ensuring the continuity of the educational process.

Professor Maknoon toured a number of classrooms, where he received updates from the faculty deans and department heads on the preparations for the new academic year and the provision of the necessary educational requirements. He also reviewed the readiness of faculty members to implement academic programs in accordance with modern teaching methods that meet the needs of the labor market.

The Vice President affirmed the University leadership’s commitment to providing an integrated educational environment that contributes to developing students’ academic and practical capabilities. He stressed the importance of continuous communication between the University administration and students, both male and female, in order to enhance academic performance and improve educational outcomes.

He also called on students to devote greater effort to their studies and to participate in the academic and cultural activities organized by the University’s faculties, highlighting their importance in developing skills, nurturing talents, and broadening students’ knowledge and intellectual horizons.

The Vice President was accompanied during the launch by Mr. Zakaria Omar Badubah, the University Registrar, along with a number of faculty deans and department heads.
