The Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Al-Ahgaff University is one of the University's recently established faculties. Founded in 2021 in Mukalla, Hadramout Governorate, the Faculty aims to contribute to the teaching of Islamic sciences and to prepare qualified scholars and professionals who combine a solid grounding in Islamic knowledge with an awareness of contemporary issues, thereby contributing to the service of religion and society.
The Faculty offers academic specializations in Islamic Studies and Qur'anic Sciences, most notably the Department of Qur'an and Its Sciences (Qira'at Specialization), which is dedicated to preparing students in the memorization of the Holy Qur'an, mastery of its recitation, and the study of Qira'at, Qur'anic sciences, and exegesis, through an academic approach that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application.
The Faculty offers academic programs extending over four years of study, with all courses taught in Arabic, thereby strengthening students' academic and linguistic proficiency across the various fields of Islamic sciences.
