Dean's Message

Praise be to Allah, Who taught by the pen and taught humankind what they did not know. Peace and blessings be upon the noblest and most honored of creation, Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family, his noble Companions, and those who follow them in righteousness.

Knowledge is the life and salvation of souls. Through it, nations emerge from the darkness and perils of ignorance, and through it the false adornments and deceptions of falsehood and its proponents are recognized. This is particularly important in an age in which pretenders and those with ulterior motives have become numerous, seeking to divert people from the straight path by exploiting inexperienced and impressionable young people who follow every caller and are fascinated by every new trend.

The rapid pace of communication in today's digital world has added to these challenges, placing an even greater responsibility upon those engaged in calling people to Allah, the Almighty. By His grace, Allah has chosen among His devoted servants those who carry the responsibility of الدعوة with sound knowledge, enlightened methodology, and upright character.

We believe that our blessed University and those responsible for its leadership are among them. Its positive impact has become evident in many parts of the world within a relatively short period, despite its limited—and at times challenging—resources.

As an extension of these efforts, the Faculty of Islamic Sciences was established in 2021 to stand alongside the University's other faculties in serving humanity in general and the Muslim community in particular. The Faculty currently comprises two departments: the Department of Islamic Studies and the Department of Qur'an and Its Sciences – Qira'at Specialization.

We hope and pray that Allah Almighty will facilitate the means for the Faculty to expand by introducing additional departments and specializations, thereby broadening its contribution and extending its benefit. Indeed, He is the Possessor of فضل and is capable of all things.
