Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University Participates in Organizing the Selection Examination for Indonesian Hajj Delegation Members in Yemen

As part of efforts to strengthen academic and institutional cooperation and consolidate partnerships between educational institutions and relevant organizations, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Yemen collaborated with the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University and the Indonesian Students Association in Yemen to organize and administer the selection examination for Indonesian Hajj delegation members in Yemen. The examination was held on Thursday, 15 October 2026, with the participation of 228 Indonesian students studying in Yemen.

The examination is part of the procedures for selecting members of the Indonesian Hajj delegation under a program administered by Indonesia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. The program enables a number of students from various Muslim countries, including the Republic of Yemen, to be selected annually to participate in the Indonesian Hajj delegation.

The examination targets Indonesian students studying in Yemen who have reached the final stage of their studies, as well as students at traditional Islamic learning centers who have spent more than five years pursuing religious knowledge. This selection process seeks to benefit from students who have received their education and pursued their studies at educational and Islamic institutions.

The cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University, and the Indonesian Students Association in Yemen represents a model of effective coordination between diplomatic bodies, academic institutions, and student associations. This collaboration helps facilitate the organizational procedures for the examination and strengthens communication and cooperation among these entities in serving Indonesian students studying in Yemen.

This participation underscores the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University’s commitment to engaging in joint initiatives, strengthening its relationships with various institutions and organizations, and contributing to the success of programs that combine academic activities with student services, thereby advancing its academic and community mission.
