On Monday, May 22, 2023, Al-Ahqaff University participated in the opening ceremony of the Universities Volleyball Championship in the coast of Hadramout Governorate, which was held at the stadium of the late Baradem.

This tournament, organized by Hadramout University, comes as part of its celebrations of the thirtieth anniversary of its founding and coinciding with the twelfth university student week. Four universities are participating in the championship, Al-Ahgaff University, Hadramout University, Al-Rayyan University, and Al-Awael University. After the opening ceremony, the Al-Rayyan University team played with the Al-Awael University team, and the match ended with the victory of the Al-Rayyan University team. The Al-Ahgaff University team will play with the Hadramout University team this afternoon, Tuesday, so that the winner will qualify for the final match against the Al-Rayyan University team.

Al-Ahgaff University was represented at the opening ceremony by Mr. Muhammad Al-Buri, Director of Activities at the University, in addition to a group of distinguished students, namely Ahmed Bajubair, Saeed Al-Ammari, Abdullah Al-Hamid, Alawi Al-Aidarous, Omar Al-Kaf, and the photographer Abdul-Rahman Al-Hamid.
