Al-Ahgaff University's Arabic Language Centre for Non-Native Speakers Concludes Academic Year with Graduation of 155 Students

On Thursday, July 3, the Arabic Language Centre for Non-Native Speakers at Al-Ahgaff University held a farewell and recognition ceremony to mark the end of the 2024–2025 academic year, celebrating the graduation of 155 students.

The event began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by welcoming remarks from student organizers and the cohort representative. Attendees were then presented with a documentary video highlighting the Centre's educational and extracurricular activities, including cultural and athletic competitions in public speaking, reading, Arabic calligraphy, and various recreational trips.

Dr. Hussein Ali Al-Aidaroos, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Director of the Centre, delivered a speech in which he outlined the Centre's key achievements, its core objectives, and an overview of its language programs. He emphasized the ongoing development of teaching methods and the regular updates made to curricula based on the latest theories in second-language acquisition.

Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Baharoon, President of Al-Ahgaff University and patron of the event, congratulated the graduating students and underscored the importance of mastering the Arabic language as a fundamental gateway to understanding Islamic sciences. He encouraged students to practice Arabic extensively and apply its skills in their daily lives as a means to deepen their knowledge and fluency.

The ceremony concluded with the recognition of outstanding students and winners of various competitions and Centre-organized activities. Graduates then took commemorative photos with Prof. Baharoon, Dr. Al-Aidaroos, and the faculty and staff, who joined in celebrating the students' accomplishments and successful completion of their studies.
