Dr. Abdullah Awad bin Sumait, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, met with Mr. Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Maqadi, the acting researcher at the Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta, who visited the faculty on Monday 24 June 2019.

The Dean Abdullah Awad bin Sumait welcomed Mr. Al-Maqadi, who is currently the only Hadrami acting member at the Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta and a teacher in Arwekat Al-Azhar.

The two sides discussed the educational process and the jurisprudential areas related to Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University.

Mr. Al-Maqdi expressed his great happiness in visiting the Faculty and getting to know its conditions and meet with the sheikhs and teachers who teach there.

It is worth mentioning that Mr. Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Maqadi studied in Ribat Al-Shihr, Ribat Tarim and Ribat Seiyun under the supervision of many of their scholars. He then moved to Egypt and studied at Al-Azhar High School. He then took a bachelor's degree in the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion specializing in Hadith. He also obtained Diploma in manuscript investigation. In 2012 he was delegated to teach in Arwekat Al-Azhar.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Mohammed Ali Al-Khatib, Professor of Fiqh Al-Shafei in the Faculty, Dr. Abdulrahman Abdullah Al-Saqqaf, Head of Islamic Jurisprudence Department, Professor Arafat Al-Maqadi, Acting Head of Law Department and a number of faculty members.
