Under the slogan (Support: together to draw the smile on the face of the orphan) on Tuesday, 30/4/2019 the activities of the Arab Orphan Day were held within the activities carried out by the Faculty of Girls in the University of Ahgaff.

The ceremony was opened with verses from the Holy Quran. Then, the Dean of the Faculty welcomed the audience and the guests. The concert included welcoming songs, purposeful plays, acting scenes and entertainment games. The tasks of the ceremony were carried out by the students of all levels of the faculty. The third level students collected donations, bought gifts and packaged them and decorated the concert hall, whereas second level students took part in an educational entertainment play about the dishonest shepherd, through which the audience could get the moral lesson: lying is an ugly behavior, and the liar is abhorrent and hard to be believed. As well as the ceremony photographers were second level students in addition to the presenter of the ceremony. The presenters of the ceremony were first level and second level students.

At the end of the ceremony, gifts were distributed to the orphans, and the students of the faculty participated in their joy with some songs and nasheed, remembering the saying of the Prophet (PBUH): "I am the sponsor of the orphan in Paradise."

It is noteworthy that this activity is held for the second time and targets orphans from within the city of Mukalla.
