The Faculty of Girls held a lecture entitled "Electronic Addiction" presented by the trainer, Dr. Taiba Hussein Taher Moqaibel, PhD in Psychology from the Arab Academy in Denmark, via the application of Zoom.
The trainer opened the session by welcoming and thanking the Alumni Affairs Unit and the Faculty of Girls for giving them the opportunity to participate with the students of the faculty.
Then she began to explain the meaning of electronic addiction and what are its types and she pointed out the effect of electronic addiction on the students, including:
Reducing or unwillingness to learn.
Distraction and depression.
Sleep disturbance due to blue light alerts from electronic devices.
Reliance on the Internet as an external memory leads to forgetfulness.
Finally, she gave some tips to reduce electronic addiction, including:
Turn off app notifications.
Postponing the use of devices and access to social media applications after carrying out important work.
Reward yourself after every hard work.
At the end of the lecture, questions from the participating students were received.
The Alumni Affairs Unit represented by its head presented a certificate of thanks and gratitude to Dr. Taiba for her efforts.
