The practicum for students of the fourth level, Department of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Girls, was concluded on February 2, 2023 in girls’ schools in Mukalla.
The practicum program was launched on December 25, 2022, and before the launch, students were seated to give them some directives, instructions, and guiding advice by the General Supervisor of the field application, which contributes to the success of the field application.
The students were distributed to a number of girls’ schools in the Mukalla district, under the supervision of supervisors from the faculty and they were divided as follows:
- Fowa Educational Complex, the number of practicing students is 14 students under the supervision of Ms. Sofia Al-Mohammadi and Ms. Aisha Khurais.
- Fatima Alnakhbi Complex, the number of practicing students is 14 under the supervision of Ms. Sophia Bamousa, Ms. Maryam Baharoon and Ms. Aisha Bafadl.
- Al-Sayeda Zeinab School, the number of practicing students is 4 students, under the supervision of Ms. Aisha Bafadl.
- Bahamdan School, the number of practicing students is 4 students under the supervision of Ms. Maryam Baharoon.
The practicing students held a number of curricular and extra-curricular activities, such as scientific seminars and wall magazines, in addition to participation in the morning assembly. These activities are considered part of the field application, and they were followed up weekly by the general supervisor.
The general supervisor of the application program, Dr. Hussein bin Sheikh Abu Bakr, spoke about the good results achieved by the students while performing the application, and stressed the importance of their use of appropriate and modern methods of teaching.
He thanked the Office of Education and School Administrations for the efforts exerted in facilitating the practicum. He praised the efforts of the supervisors and students to adhere to the basic standards in field application.
