The Faculty of Women at Al-Ahgaff University organized its Cultural Day event on Tuesday 28th October, featuring vibrant participation from students of the Islamic Studies and Information Technology departments. The event showcased aspects of Yemeni culture alongside diverse cultural presentations from Asian and East African countries.
Students from the Islamic Studies Department presented an engaging program introducing the rich and diverse cultures of Indonesia, Tanzania, and Kenya through informative presentations, traditional dress displays, and cultural performances that reflected the authenticity and uniqueness of their identities.
Meanwhile, students from the Information Technology Department set up interactive stations highlighting the distinct heritage and traditions of Yemen’s various regions. They presented exhibitions featuring traditional clothing, photographs, and displays of regional dishes, offering visitors a chance to experience Yemen’s cultural diversity firsthand.
The event was attended by Ms. Sofia Awadh Al-Mahammadi, Dean of the Faculty of Women; Ms. Suzan Ateeq, Head of the Information Technology Department; Ms. Intisar bin Sheikh Abu Bakr, Administrative Director of the Faculty; and Ms. Khadija Batarfi, General Registrar of the Faculty, along with a number of faculty members and administrative staff.
