Under the generous patronage of Prof. Abdullah Muhammad Baharoon, President of the University, the Faculty of Women held a farewell ceremony today, Wednesday morning, for the twenty-third batch of female students of the Department of Islamic Studies, which includes 37 female graduates.
During the ceremony, the President of the University, Prof. Abdullah Muhammad Baharoon, delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of developing women to obtain themselves in order to preserve their children and their society. Women are a source of happiness for the family, protection and assistance to provide marital comfort and to move away from the intellectual confusion of Western countries, in order to properly convey the image to societies.
He also directed the graduates to benefit from what they learned during the four years and to communicate in order to develop the correct information to guide and develop our civilized society in all respects.
The ceremony included some traditional Levantine folk dances, interspersed with Palestinian Dabkeh dances, a Syrian poem, and other artistic dances of authentic culture.
At the end of the ceremony, the President of the University, accompanied by Habib / Alawi Abdul Rahman Al-Attas, a member of the Board of Trustees, honored the students and took a memorial photo with them. The Dean of the Faculty honored the distinguished students, wishing them success in their future.
The ceremony was attended by Eng. Fayez Ahmed Bin Shamla, Secretary General, Dean of the Faculty, Ms. Sophia Awadh Al-Mohammadi, and a number of faculty members.
