The Preparatory Committee of the Second Scientific Conference at Hadramout Research Center, Al-Ahgaff University, held its second meeting on Wednesday at the office of the University’s Vice President and Executive Director of the Center, Professor Sadiq Omar Maknoon. The meeting, attended by the committee chair and members, focused on reviewing and evaluating research papers submitted for participation in the upcoming conference on Hadrami Migration, which this year is dedicated to Hadrami migration to East Africa.

At the outset, Professor Maknoon, Chair of the Preparatory Committee, welcomed the members and expressed his gratitude for their active participation. He highlighted the Center’s role in organizing numerous academic and cultural events, while also commending the scientific committee for its ongoing efforts in preparing for the conference, scheduled to take place at the end of this year.

The attendees emphasized the importance of ensuring the success of the conference and presenting it in a distinguished and impactful manner, stressing the value of drawing on both local and international expertise to enrich the event.

The conference is set to be held from 27–28 December, 2025.

The meeting was attended by members of the Preparatory Committee: Professor Ahmed Khured, Professor Rizq Al-Jabri, Advisor Dr. Hashim Moqaibel, Dr. Ahmed Bahartha, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Bouri.
