Al-Ahgaff University participated in the International Conference on Laws, Regulations, Policies and Language Planning, represented by researcher Dr. Hashim Alawi Muqaibel, Professor of International Law at the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University which was held by the Arab League, in the Arab Republic of Egypt, from December 18-19, 2022.
The conference talked about the reality and future of regulations and legislation related to the Arabic language in regional, Arab and international legal and legislative organizations and the efforts of the Arab Parliament to adopt the Arabic language law.
The researcher, Dr. Hashem Alawi Muqaibel, participated in it as a representative of Al-Ahgaff University, with research titled "The Arabic language and its impact on Yemeni legislation" where the research dealt with the importance of knowledge in the Arabic language for the makers of legislation in his first topic, while the second topic dealt with talking about the Arabic language and its impact on the texts of Yemeni legislation, starting with the constitution and then moving to the branches of law by inductive study and clarifying the effect of the Arabic language in the texts of the law.
In the conclusion of his research, the researcher concluded that the Arabic language has a great impact on the texts of Yemeni legislation, and that the Yemeni legislator was keen on the presence of the Arabic language in relation to education at all levels and in other branches of law such as the law of the judiciary, banks, university law, and others.
The researcher also recommended that legislators and researchers, with all their scientific levels and intellectual affiliations, pay great attention to the Arabic language and master it, in addition to keenness on caring for the study of the Arabic language and linking it to the applied legal reality due to the presence of a major collapse among the official, judicial and educational authorities that reflects the extent of the great weakness in this field.
It is noteworthy that the researcher works as a legal advisor at Al-Ahgaff University and holds the position of head of the Alumni Affairs Unit.
