The Faculty of Management and Economics held an event to honor the top students enrolled in the faculty for the academic year 2023-2024, coinciding with the visit of the Indonesian Ambassador to Yemen and Oman to Al-Ahgaff University on Monday, December 9.
His Excellency Ambassador Muhammad Erzan and his delegation were welcomed by Professor Ahmed Khured at the start of the event. Following that, His Excellency the Ambassador gave a speech in which he expressed his immense joy at the Al-Ahgaff University Faculty of Management and Economics' participation in awarding its excellent students, pointing out that this recognition serves as a significant motivator for all students. The Ambassador also emphasized how crucial it is to use contemporary technology to advance the financial sciences.
A video titled "Faculty of Management and Economics 25 Years of Excellence and Leadership" was then played, telling the tales of a few graduates who went on to hold prominent positions locally, regionally, and internationally. This is how Al-Ahgaff University's innovative role in the academic stage benefits each and every one of its students.
The event also included a recorded participation by Dr. Muhammad Abu Bakr Al-Hadar, Head of the Accounting Department at Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a graduate of the Faculty of Management in 2005, in which he expressed his gratitude to the faculty administration and gave his advice to the faculty students. In addition, Mr. Muhammad Saleh Al-Shin, who graduated from the faculty in 2020 and is now the Director of the Audit Department at Hadhramaut Bank, gave a speech to the students about the difficulties faced by recent accounting graduates in the job market.
Faculty students also participated in the event on a variety of accounting topics. His Excellency Ambassador Muhammad Arzan, Engineer Faiz bin Shamla, the university's secretary-general, and Mr. Alwi Al-Aidaroos, dean of the Faculty of Management and Economics, then recognized and honored the top and exceptional students.
The event was attended by the delegation of the Indonesian Embassy, Consul Counselor Muhammad Rafiqi Fikrianshah, Mr. Muhammad Asif Sutisna, Consular Affairs Officer, and Mr. Sumardi, Administrative Affairs Officer.
