On Wednesday, the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Al-Ahgaff University held a farewell ceremony for the fourth graduating cohort of Indonesian students, under the patronage of Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Baharoon, President of the University. The event was attended by Eng. Faiz Ahmed Bin Shamla, Secretary General of the University, along with several faculty members and academic staff.
The ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a congratulatory address from Prof. Baharoon, who praised the graduates for their dedication and perseverance throughout their academic journey in the pursuit of Islamic knowledge and the noble characteristics derived from the life of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
Prof. Baharoon emphasized the university’s commitment to advancing higher education and making it accessible. He highlighted Al-Ahgaff University's steady and confident progress in fulfilling its educational mission by graduating highly qualified students capable of making meaningful contributions to their communities.
He urged the graduates to be role models in their home countries, to continue seeking Islamic knowledge beyond the university, and to serve as active contributors to building families and societies grounded in the principles of Islam. He stressed that the current era demands a stronger focus on education and enlightening future generations.
Concluding his speech, Prof. Baharoon encouraged the graduates to utilize digital platforms for continued learning and intellectual growth through ongoing communication and collaboration. He also noted that the university’s Alumni Affairs Unit remains dedicated to supporting graduates after their academic journey, organizing conferences and tracking alumni progress across various regions.
The ceremony also featured a speech by Dr. Samir Mohammed Sabi Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, as well as a heartfelt address delivered on behalf of the graduating students.
