The delegation of Al-Ahgaff University visiting the Republic of Somalia namely Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Al-Batati, a faculty member at the university, from Al-Ahgaff University, and Mr. Hamza Abdullah Baharoon, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences met with the Somali Students Union studying at Al-Ahgaff University.

On the side of the Somali Students Union, Sheikh Ali Muhammad Sheikh Ibrahim, President of the Union, and his deputy, Sheikh Abdullah Muhammad Nour, in the presence of Mr. Muhammad Hassan Musa, Advisor to the Office of the President of the Republic.

The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation and partnership between the Student Union and Al-Ahgaff University, which responded to the invitation to visit to closely review the concerns of students and what Al-Ahgaff University provides in terms of free facilities for students in its faculties, including the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in addition to the housing arrangements, food provision, and facilitating all circumstances to help them continue their education.

On behalf of Professor Abdullah Mohammed Baharoon, the university president, and the Alumni Unit, the Al-Ahgaff University delegation thanked the Somali Students Union for their cordial welcome and hospitality, emphasizing that the relationship's bridges will grow stronger in the years to come.

The Somali Students Union commended Al-Ahgaff University's scientific message, which benefited the local Somali community and resulted in the graduation of numerous students in a variety of specialisations who went on to become instruments of enlightenment and construction. The union also stated that it is ready to work with Al-Ahgaff University and its Alumni Unit, offering everything that benefits the students and fortifies the bonds between the two parties.

The meeting was attended by a number of judges and directors of Sharia institutes who are graduates of the university.
