Under the patronage of Mr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadhramaut, Al-Ahgaff University held a graduation ceremony on Thursday morning to honor the “Pioneers of Renaissance” class, comprising 68 graduates from the Department of Accounting in the Faculty of Administration and Economics and the Department of Information Technology in the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science. The ceremony was attended by government officials, academics, parents, and distinguished guests.
The ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a speech on behalf of the graduates delivered by Mr. Khalil Seilan. Speaking on behalf of his fellow graduates, he expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the University leadership, faculty members, and staff for the academic guidance and educational support that enabled them to reach this important milestone. He also extended sincere appreciation to parents for their unwavering encouragement, emphasizing that graduation marks the beginning of a new chapter of responsibility and service.
On behalf of the local authority, Mr. Al-Jailani, Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate for the Coastal and Plateau Districts, conveyed the greetings of Mr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi to the University leadership, graduates, and their families. He praised Al-Ahgaff University for its outstanding role in preparing qualified national professionals and equipping them with the knowledge and competencies required to contribute effectively to the labor market, wishing the graduates continued success in their future endeavors.
For his part, Professor Abdullah Mohammed Baharoon, President of Al-Ahgaff University, congratulated the graduates and their families, describing graduation as the beginning of a new stage that requires continuous learning, professional development, and a strong commitment to serving society and the nation. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to its educational mission by preparing graduates who combine academic excellence with strong ethical values, enabling them to meet the demands of national development and the evolving labor market.
Professor Baharoon also expressed his appreciation to the graduates’ parents for their dedication and continuous support throughout their children's academic journey, noting that this achievement reflects a genuine partnership between the family and the University.
The ceremony featured a variety of performances, including a poetic recitation and a patriotic operetta celebrating the graduates’ achievements. Renowned artist Ali Al-Kalali also performed a selection of songs that added a festive atmosphere to the occasion and were warmly received by the audience.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the University leadership presented the Loyalty Shield to the Hadhramaut Local Authority in recognition of its support. The graduates, in turn, honored the University President, Vice President, Secretary-General, and the Deans of the Faculties in appreciation of their guidance and support throughout their academic journey. The event concluded with the presentation of commemorative shields to the graduates in a joyful celebration marking the successful completion of the “Pioneers of Renaissance” class.

Faiz Ahmed bin Shamla, Secretary-General; Professor Ahmed Saleh Khared, Dean of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation; Professor Mohammed Abdullah Al-Saqqaf; Mr. Anwar Al-Kassadi, Member of the University Board of Trustees; the Deans of the Faculties; the Chairman of the Organizing Committee; a number of faculty members and administrative staff; as well as community leaders, parents, and relatives of the graduates.
