The Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University in Tarim signed an academic and scientific cooperation agreement with Dar Ibn Abbas in Sydney, Australia, headed by Sheikh Abdul Muizz Al-Nafti. The agreement comes as part of the faculty's efforts to expand its academic and scientific cooperation and strengthen partnerships with educational and scholarly institutions outside Yemen.

The agreement was signed during Sheikh Abdul Muizz Al-Nafti's visit to the Faculty of Sharia and Law. It aims to open new avenues for cooperation between the two institutions in a number of academic and educational fields, serving students and faculty members and contributing to the development of the educational process.

The agreement includes cooperation in student admissions and enrollment at the faculty, creating opportunities for students to join and benefit from the academic programs and specializations offered by the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University. It also provides for enhanced communication and cooperation between faculty members and teachers from both institutions, as well as the exchange of academic expertise and experience.

The agreement further covers distance education, enabling the two sides to make use of modern technologies in delivering academic programs and scholarly courses, broaden access to academic expertise and capabilities, and extend Sharia and legal education to a wider range of students and learners.

Both sides emphasized the importance of the agreement in strengthening academic and scientific cooperation, exchanging knowledge and expertise, and building sustainable bridges between educational institutions. They also highlighted its potential contribution to advancing the quality of Sharia and legal education and serving students of Islamic knowledge and researchers.

The agreement forms part of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University's broader approach to establishing effective academic and scientific partnerships and engaging with scholarly institutions in different countries.
