Amid an atmosphere of enthusiasm and optimism, the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University in Tarim commenced classes for the new 2026–2027 academic year on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The launch marks the beginning of a new academic year in which the faculty continues its mission of preparing specialized graduates in Sharia and Law and strengthening its academic and community presence.
The faculty administration emphasized that the start of the new academic year represents a new milestone in the faculty’s academic journey and an opportunity to further develop the educational process and enhance its outcomes in response to scientific and legal developments. It also reinforces the faculty’s role in preparing a generation that combines sound grounding in Islamic Sharia with legal training and is capable of making meaningful contributions to serving society and building its institutions.
The Dean noted that the faculty continues to fulfill its educational and academic mission through an academic environment that brings together Sharia sciences and legal studies. The faculty also places particular emphasis on scientific research as well as academic and practical activities, contributing to the development of students’ academic, intellectual, and professional capabilities and preparing them to play effective roles in the fields of judiciary, legal practice, research, teaching, and legal and administrative work.
A new academic year has begun at the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University in Tarim, marked by renewed ambition for excellence and leadership and continued academic dedication to preparing a generation that combines sound knowledge of Islamic Sharia with legal awareness and carries the mission of knowledge and law with integrity and competence.
