On Monday, May 30, 2022, the Faculty of Administration and Economics held a scientific lecture entitled “The Basics and Applications of the Accounting Cycle in the Practical Environment” for the fourth-level students majoring in Accounting delivered by Mr. Muhammad Ali Al-Habshi Chief Financial Officer of Al-Mehdhar Exchange.

The lecture opened with a welcoming speech from the Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Alawi Abdel Qader Al-Aidarous, in which he welcomed Mr. Muhammad Al-Habshi and introduced him to the audience, as he is one of the former graduates of the Faculty, the Accounting Department, batch of 2003, and he has great experience in the financial accounting field through the positions he held. The Dean of the Faculty indicated that the Faculty aims, through holding these lectures, to provide graduate students with practical skills that are important in the work environment.

Mr. Muhammad Al-Habshi began the lecture with his great pride in being one of the graduates of this great scientific edifice, noting the importance of holding these lectures, which will contribute to raising the efficiency and capabilities of the graduates.

He explained about the accounting and documentary cycle of all kinds and the types and sections of financial departments in institutions and companies. He also discussed the role of the accountant in the work environment, how to excel at work, and the difficulties that a newly graduated accountant faces and how to overcome them. He also pointed out the most important skills that an accountant must acquire in order to be successful in his work, explaining a number of important tips and guidelines for graduates that they may face in the labor market.

 The lecture concluded by opening the door to questions and clarifications and responding to them. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Muhammad Al-Habshi thanked the college administration for arranging this meeting, expressing his great happiness with this, noting that Al-Mehdhar Exchange Company and Al-Mehdhar Commercial Group of Companies are opening their doors for cooperation with all graduates as a kind of social and moral responsibilities.

At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Economics, Mr. Alawi Abdel-Qader Al-Aidarous, honored Mr. Muhammad Ali Al-Habshi with a certificate of appreciation from the Faculty, thanking him for his efforts in making the lecture a success.
