Accounting Department at Al-Ahgaff University Celebrates International Accounting Day

The Accounting Department at the Faculty of Administration and Economics, Al-Ahgaff University, organized a celebratory event on Thursday in recognition of International Accounting Day, with the attendance of the Faculty Dean, Dr. Noufal Basharahil, faculty members, and students.

The event began with verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a welcoming address and a speech delivered by the Dean. In his remarks, Dr. Basharahil emphasized the vital role of accounting in supporting economic development and promoting financial transparency. He also highlighted the faculty’s efforts in preparing qualified graduates equipped with the skills demanded by today’s job market.

Mr. Abdullah Abu Bakr Sakran, an alumnus of the Accounting Department (Class of 2014), delivered a keynote speech focusing on the importance of continuous professional development and lifelong learning. He stressed that the job market requires graduates to pursue ongoing learning to keep pace with modern transformations in accounting practices. He also discussed recent advancements in the field and the role of digital technologies in enhancing the quality of accounting work.

The ceremony also included the recognition of top-performing students in the department for their outstanding academic achievements during the academic year.

Additionally, Mr. Mohammed Anees Maknoon, representing Infosoft Accounting Software Company, presented symbolic commemorative gifts to the top students as a gesture of support and encouragement. The honored students expressed their gratitude for the recognition, which they described as a reflection of the Faculty’s commitment to supporting excellence and providing a motivating academic environment.

The event was attended by several faculty members.
