The Faculty of Administration and Economics, in partnership with the Department of Activities, celebrated today, Thursday, November 10, the International Day of Accounting, in the presence of faculty members, university financial management staff, and students. It is an annual event that was first announced in 1972 and is celebrated all over the world.

The ceremony began with fragrant verses from the Holy Quran, delivered by the student / Muhammad Salem Sawaban.

Then the Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Alawi Abdel Qader Al-Aidarous, gave a speech on this occasion, in which he spoke about the importance of accounting in practical and private life, where accounting plays an important role in economic institutions. The Faculty of Administration and Economics since its establishment has been interested in accounting, where it has been and continues to pay great attention to updating curricula and keeping pace with the development in the labor market and international universities and contributed to providing the teaching staff with professors specialized in all fields of accounting.

He urged the students to pay attention to their future role as accountants, observe honesty and sincerity at work, and give an ideal picture of accountants who graduated from Al-Ahgaff University.

He thanked the university president, his deputy and the general secretary for their continuous support to the faculty, praising the continuous role of the university presidency in supporting the educational process.

Dr. Nofal Mohsen Bashraheel, a faculty member at the Faculty of Administration and Economics, participated in a video clip directed to accounting students, in which he talked about the emergence and development of accounting science and its importance in the labor market.

Then the Head of the Accounting Department, Mr. Ahmed Munir Al-Tamimi, gave a speech in which he spoke about the role of Arabs and Muslims in the emergence of the science of accounting through their writings in this field since the fourteenth century AD. He congratulated the students on the International Day of Accounting, wishing them success in their careers.

Then, videos in both Arabic and English talking about accounting and its importance were shown.

A group of students from the Accounting Department participated in segments within the celebration, where the student / Muhammad Khaled Al-Hamoudi participated in a segment entitled Behaviors of the Accounting Mission, during which he reviewed the most important behaviors that should be available in the accounting job.

The student / Nawaf Bader Baghouza followed him with a segment entitled Accounting and its history, during which he reviewed the development of the history of accounting since its inception in 1447 AD by the Italian scientist Luca Pacioli and its chronological development until now. During the segment, he reviewed a video clip of the most important subjects that an accounting student should care about.

The student / Hussain Muhammad Al-Menhali also participated in a segment titled work fields in accounting, during which he reviewed a video clip explaining the presence of accounting everywhere where it cannot be dispensed with, and he talked about the types of accounting and the most important areas in which the student can be employed, referring to the most important accredited international certificates that can be acquired in the field of accounting.

At the conclusion of the celebration, the university’s financial management staff were honored by the Dean/ Alawi Abdel-Qader Al-Aidarous, and the head of the activities department, Mr. Mohamed Salem Al-Buri.

Then the top three students of all levels were honored, and the ceremony concluded with a group photo in which faculty members and top students participated.
