Department of Media and Activities College / follow-up

The Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Dr. Abdullah Awad Bin Sumait, met on Friday 23/11/2018 at his office in Tarim with His Excellency the Indonesian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Mustafa Tawfiq Abdul-Latif, accompanied by Dr. Sultan Shahriel, Charge d'Affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in Yemen with a delegation of some officials in the two embassies.

The visit came to consolidate the relationship between the Indonesian Embassy and the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University, by inspecting the conditions of the Indonesian students, who constitute the largest segment of the faculty students.

At the start of the meeting, the dean Dr. Abdullah Awad bin Sumait welcomed the Indonesian delegation, thanking them for taking the inconvenience and hardship to attend and visit, which shows their attention in their students in the Faculty of Sharia and Law.

The Ambassador thanked the Dean of the Faculty for the good reception and hospitality and discussed with him the conditions of the students and the situations they are going through and what the Embassy can offer them to facilities for that.

The discussion touched on some topics such as the equation needed by the student to register in the Faculty of Sharia, which the Dean explained how it is going smoothly and easily by the help of Allah and the follow-up of the university administrators, and that there are no obstacles facing the faculty in this matter.

They also discussed the importance of some courses taught in the faculty such as the Islamic economy and what the student needs to face the rapid developments in the world in this regard.

The Dean explained to the ambassador and his accompanying delegation how the faculty's graduates enjoy high reputation and great efficiency that many of them have qualified to hold high positions in the state, such as ministries, departments, judiciary and prosecution, as well as teaching and education.

At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty thanked the Indonesian Ambassador and his accompanying delegation for this visit. At the end of the visit, the Indonesian Ambassador handed over the shield of the Indonesian Embassy to the Dean of the Faculty.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Fayez Noor, professor of jurisprudence, and Prof. Ahmed bin Aqeel, professor of law at the Faculty.
