As part of the academic preparations for the international conference titled “Contemporary Issues in Deferred Sales,” organized by the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University in partnership with the ISRA Institute of INCEIF University, Malaysia, a scientific lecture was held on Wednesday morning, 26 Jumada al-Akhirah 1447 AH, at the Faculty of Sharia Library.
The lecture, entitled “Bay‘ al-Dhimmah (Sale of Liability),” was delivered by Dr. Mustafa bin Hamid bin Sumait, Head of the Graduate Studies Department at the Faculty. It was attended by members of the faculty’s academic staff.
During the lecture, Dr. bin Sumait discussed the concept of Bay‘ al-Dhimmah according to the Shafi‘i school of jurisprudence, highlighting the differences between it and Bay‘ al-Salam, as well as its Sharia regulations and relevant research dimensions. The lecture aimed to enhance the research readiness of faculty members and encourage them to contribute rigorous academic papers that will enrich the themes of the upcoming conference.
The lecture witnessed strong participation from faculty members and forms part of a series of scholarly activities being implemented by the Faculty in preparation for the international conference. These efforts aim to ensure effective academic participation and to contribute to addressing issues related to Islamic finance and economics, as well as advancing scientific research in this vital field.
