Deanship of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University Receives Delegation from Hadhramaut Microfinance Program

A delegation from the Hadhramaut Microfinance Program met on Sunday morning, April 19, 2026, with Dr. Abdullah Awad bin Sumait, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University, during the period of the International Scientific Conference entitled “Emerging Issues in Deferred Sales (Bayʿ al-Ājāl),” held from April 18–19, 2026, in the city of Tarim.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Saqqaf, Member of the Program’s Board of Directors; Mr. Fawzi Mahfouz bin Zailaa, Executive Director of the Hadhramaut Microfinance Program; Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Hassan, Director of Research and Development; Mr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Haddad, Director of Operations; and Mr. Alawi Ibrahim Al-Hassani, Research and Development Officer. Also present was the Mufti, Dr. Abdulrahman Abdullah Al-Saqqaf.

During the meeting, both sides discussed areas of cooperation between the University and the Program, particularly in organizing and structuring the financing system of the Hadhramaut Microfinance Program in accordance with the principles of Islamic Sharia.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Dr. Abdullah Awad bin Sumait, expressed his appreciation to the delegation for their interest and cooperation, as well as for the constructive discussions on ways to strengthen collaboration between the two sides.
