On the 23rd anniversary of his death, the Faculty of Sharia and Law celebrates the anniversary of the late Habib Abdullah bin Mahfouz Al Haddad in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Abdullah Awad bin Sumait, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Saqqaf, Head of the Department of Fiqh and its Principles, and Mr. Abdullah Hussein Al-Aidarous, Head of Department of Machine Sciences And Mr. Arafat Al-Maqadi, Acting Department of Law, and a large number of teachers and staff of the Faculty and its students.

Habib Abdullah Mahfouz Al Haddad, may Allah have mercy on him, is one of the founders of Al-Ahgaff University who had great credit for establishing it, creating its first bases and launching its solid foundations

The anniversary began with the reading of the Holy Quran and gifting its reward to the soul of the late Habib Abdullah Al Haddad. Then a video clip was presented to the audience about the biography of Habib Al Haddad and some of his words.

In the anniversary, two speeches were given by the Dean Dr. Abdullah Awad Bin Sumait and Mr. Hamid Omar Al-Saqqaf, a professor in the Department of Machine Sciences, who both were supervised by Habib Abdullah, may God have mercy on him, during their bachelor's degree in Mukalla.

The two speeches reviewed situations of the life of Habib Abdullah bin Mahfouz Al Haddad, may God have mercy on him, which the speakers directly heard from Habib Abdullah, may God have mercy on him, and from his conditions while he was seeking knowledge in Ribat Tarim and during his tenure of judgeship with the circumstances that passed through the country at that time.

The speeches stated how he could combine between knowledge and work and good dealing with all the courses of life, with modesty and piety and keeping away from the decoration of life, and how he was a refuge for students in that period, which was full of the beginning of intellectual differences and the emergence of sectarian disputes where students resort to him to remove the doubt of intellectual problems, and how his way of facilitating and making things easy for people in all arising problems.

The speakers reviewed the great scientific efforts represented by Habib Abdullah bin Mahfouz Al Haddad, especially in the areas of fatwa and the judiciary, in which he had the great effect and was the target of all people. In addition to his efforts in reforming among disputed people that he became a haven for all people of community as he was indisputably broad-minded.

The speakers presented the efforts of Habib Abdullah bin Mahfouz Al Haddad with Habib Abdullah Muhammad Baharoun in the establishment of the Islamic Society and Al-Ahgaff University and how they supported their leaders and left by their creation an everlasting good effects in the society.
