Dr. Abdullah Awad Bin Sumait, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, received today at his office the honorable Professor Shahidi Bin Abdul Ghani, Deputy Director of the Institute of Reviving Islamic Sciences (Ihiaa Ulum Aldeen) in Malaysia, who visited the faculty Thursday morning.
The Dean Bin Sumait welcomed, at the beginning of the meeting, Professor Shahidi and his accompanying delegation, thanking them for this visit, which comes to extend cooperation between the Faculty of Sharia and Law at the University of Ahgaff and the Institute of Reviving Islamic Sciences located in the city of Penang, Malaysia.
Professor Shahidi thanked the dean for the cordial reception, expressing his happiness with this visit, which is intended to get acquainted with the conditions of students in the faculty, the methods of study therein and the conditions that the students are subject to, in preparation for the start of cooperation between the faculty and the institute in Malaysia, to send students to study in the Faculty of Sharia and Law in Tarim.
The two parties talked about the study system and educational methods, and trying to find solutions to the basic obstacles that stand in the way of Malaysian students to come to study in the faculty.
At the end of the meeting, Professor Shahidi walked around the faculty, acquainted with its departments and the registration and admission office, and met a number of lecturers. He also visited its library which is full of scientific titles and took some memorial photos.
The meeting was attended by the students at the Malaysian Institute, Yusuf bin Nuruddin and Muhammad Hafeez bin Samshuri, and on the side of the faculty, the meeting was attended by lecturer Arafat Al-Muqadi and lecturer Ahmed bin Aqeel, Professor of Law at the Faculty.
