The Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Al-Ahgaff University, Dr. Abdullah Awadh bin Sumait, met on Monday in his office in Tarim with His Excellency Dr. Agus Joko Pramono, Vice President of the Financial Supervisory Authority of the State of Indonesia.

The Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Abdullah Awadh bin Sumait, welcomed the guest and the accompanying delegation, thanking them for this visit, which comes as part of efforts to consolidate the relationship between the various bodies and institutions in the State of Indonesia and the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University, by inspecting the conditions of the Indonesian students, who make up the largest segment of the faculty’s students.

Dr. Agus thanked the Dean of the Faculty for the warm reception and discussed with him the conditions of the students and the relationship between Hadhramaut and Indonesia and the efforts being made to facilitate the study of Indonesian students there.

There was also talk between the two parties regarding the adoption of a university degree in Indonesia and facilitating ways to employ its graduates to work in Indonesian public universities.

The two parties discussed the arrangement of the Indonesian government scholarship for postgraduate students (Master's and Ph.D.) granted by the Indonesian government and the possibility for students studying at Al-Ahgaff University to benefit from it.

The dean of the faculty gave the Indonesian delegation an overview of the faculty and its departments and the role it plays in the educational process of international students from all over the world.

For his part, Dr. Agus praised the effectiveness of the Indonesian students studying at Al-Ahgaff University, in particular, and the high level of their cooperation with the Indonesian government in managing and facilitating the affairs of students and expatriates in the absence of a special embassy in Indonesia in Yemen at present.

The Dean took the Indonesian delegation on a tour of the faculty, its departments, its registration office, and the library, and met with a number of professors and teachers.

At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty thanked the Indonesian official and his accompanying delegation for this visit, which comes out of interest and follow-up to their students in the college.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdul Rahman Abdullah Al-Saggaf, Head of the Department of Jurisprudence and its Principles, Dr. Mustafa Bin Sumait, Head of the Graduate Studies Department at the Faculty, Dr. Arafat Al-Maqdi, Head of the Law Department, Dr. Saqqaf Al-Aidarous, Head of the Department of Sunnah and its Sciences, Mr. Abdullah Hussein Al-Aidarous, Head of the Department of Machine Sciences, and Dr. Fayez Nour, Professor in the Department of Jurisprudence and its Principles and Sheikh of Indonesian Students, and Dr. Alawi Abdul Qadir Al-Aidarous, Secretary General of the Research and Ifta Department.
