The Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University, Dr. Abdullah Awadh bin Sumait, received in his office today Mr. Muhammad Omar Aideed “Bazara’a”, the well-known Omani figure, who visited today the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Ahgaff University in Tarim, in continuation of the friendly and interconnected relationship, and in order to strengthen the bonds of affection between him and those in charge of the university.
Mr. Muhammad Omar Aideed expressed his overwhelming joy and great happiness for visiting the faculty, thanking those in charge of it for the good reception and the warmth of the meeting. He was delighted with what he saw of the scientific movement in the faculty confirming the reputation that distinguished Al-Ahgaff University in general and the Faculty of Sharia and Law in particular in terms of mastery, diligence and perseverance in academic achievement, stressing in his speech the importance of providing the appropriate environment of excellence for students.
It is noteworthy that Mr. Muhammad Omar Aideed is a prominent Omani political and social figure who has held many official positions in Oman, including Oman's ambassador to Switzerland and the Sultanate of Brunei, as well as the cultural attaché responsible for Omani students in the United States of America.
The Dean of the Faculty toured Mr. Muhammad bin Omar Aideed in the faculty’s offices and facilities and visited its library, where he expressed his admiration for the many titles it contained in the disciplines of jurisprudence, interpretation, language, law and others.
During his visit to the faculty, Mr. Omar met with a number of its teachers and held a session with the fifth-level students who are about to graduate, exchanging with them memories of his studies and stages of his life, and giving them a lot of advice that interests them in their scientific and practical future.
The Dean of the Faculty also toured Mr. Aideed in the new facilities that the Faculty intends to establish, the most important of which is the Great Mosque, and he explained to him the facilities of the Faculty that the University has set in its future plan.
A lunch banquet was held in honor of Mr. Muhammad on this occasion, in the presence of a number of teachers and faculty staff.
