The President of Al-Ahgaff University, Prof. Abdullah Muhammad Baharoon, accompanied by Ambassador Muhammad Erzan, Ambassador of Indonesia to Oman and Yemen, inaugurated the training court in the building of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Al-Ahgaff University in Tarim.

The President of the University cut the opening ribbon with the Indonesian Ambassador in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Abdullah Awadh bin Sumait, Dr. Arafat Al-Maqdi, Head of the Department of Sharia and Law, and Judge Dr. Muhammad bin Sumait, Judge Managing Director of the Court of Appeal of the Yemeni Governorate of Socotra.

The officials of the training court have explained that the purpose of its inauguration is to train students to deal with cases and to obtain their full perception of what is happening in the courtrooms, which adds to their information an important aspect that helps them develop their information and experience in the judicial aspect, especially as they study the subjects of Sharia and law theoretically so that they can be applied in the training court through the subject of the mock trial within the framework of the vision of the senior professors of Sharia and law, which aims to adhere to the texts of the written law and fill the gaps of some legal materials during the legal and judicial practice.

It is noteworthy that the training court system is one of the important systems currently in legal teaching and is pursued by major universities in the world, through which it aims to combine the theoretical side with the applied side.

They reviewed the components of the court and its hall consisting of the chairs of the judges, the prosecution, the court clerk, the place where the accused stand, in addition to the seating places for the audience attending the public trial sessions.
