Under the patronage of Professor Abdullah bin Mohammed Baharoon, President of Al-Ahgaff University, the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation at the university organized a workshop entitled Preparing the Strategic Plan for Al-Ahgaff University on Sunday morning, October 6, 2024, in the electronic library in the university presidency building.

Professor Ahmed Saleh Khared, Dean of Quality and Academic Accreditation, greeted the participants and urged them to fully participate in the workshop by committing to attend. Furthermore, the Vice President of the University, Professor Sadiq Omar Maknoon, also spoke, extending greetings from the University President to each and every one of the attendees. Throughout his lecture, he emphasized how crucial it was to have this workshop in order to develop the university's strategy for maintaining leadership and quality, accomplishing its objectives, and strengthening its core values.

Subsequently, Dr. Salem Ahmed Bawadi, the workshop trainer, went over the workshop's guiding principles and its three-day schedule for October 6–8. Following the participants' division into eight groups of five to six people each, the workshop got underway under the direction of the trainer. The participants worked on reformulating the university's vision and mission as well as setting its strategic objectives.

The workshop was attended by Eng. Faiz Ahmed Bin Shamla, Secretary General of the University, deans of faculties and their deputies, heads of scientific departments, and quality and academic accreditation representatives from the faculties. A number of administrative staff at the university and representatives of undergraduate and graduate students, graduates, and institutions also participated.
