Al-Ahgaff University participated with scientific research entitled (Translatability of Noun Adjective Collocations in the Holy Quran with Reference to Yaseen Surah: Problems and Strategies).

Researcher Muhammad Salem Al-Bouri, lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Al-Ahgaff University and the university’s representative at the conference, spoke about some of the difficulties that translators of the Holy Quran may face, relying on interpretation books and dictionaries of the Arabic and English languages, where he explained the strategies that translators of the Holy Quran relied on when translating verbal collocations.

In his scientific study, researcher Al-Bouri also noted that translation is regarded as one of the fundamental instruments for comprehending religious texts, including the Holy Quran, since it is crucial to comprehending the meanings and disseminating the Quran's teachings to various languages and cultures, which aids in the globalization of Islam.

He noted that the five most well-known translators of the Holy Quran- Taqi al-Din, Muhammad Asad, Abdullah Yusuf Ali, Arberry and Bekal- have produced the most well-known translations of the text. Al-Bouri, the researcher, concluded that in order to have a more sophisticated comprehension of the Quranic verses, it is essential to use books of interpretation in addition to monolingual and bilingual dictionaries.

It should be noted that Muhammad Al-Bouri, the researcher, is a PhD candidate in the English Language Department at Sana'a University and currently serves as the Director of the University's Research Centre and the Director of the English Language Unit at Al-Ahgaff University.
