Students participating in the International Moot Court Competition at Al-Ahgaff University paid a visit to the Director of the University’s Legal Affairs Office, Legal Advisor Mr. Mohammed Saleh bin Talib, in the presence of Dr. Hashim Alawi Muqaibel, a member of the office. The visit came as part of efforts to enhance practical learning and bridge academic knowledge with professional legal practice.
During the visit, discussions addressed the mechanisms of international arbitration and its importance in dispute resolution. The meeting also covered preparations for the students’ participation in the competition, the high level of legal and research skills required, and the role such competitions play in developing students’ academic and practical competencies.
The students were also introduced to the nature of legal work within the University’s Legal Affairs Office, including its responsibilities in providing legal consultations and overseeing regulatory and legal matters related to academic and administrative operations.
The Director of the Legal Affairs Office praised the students’ enthusiasm for self-development and reaffirmed the University’s support for such academic initiatives, which contribute to preparing qualified legal professionals capable of competing in local, regional, and international academic and legal forums.
