On Thursday, June 1, the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Sciences - Department of Information Technology held a presentation activity to discuss a draft subject for the course “Server Side Web Programming” for third-level students majoring in information technology which continues for the fourth week of the second semester, under the supervision of the English Language Unit.
This evaluation aims to improve the level of English language and improve diction skills, as well as to improve the scientific outputs of specialized subjects. The students were divided into groups for each subject, and projects were distributed to them at the beginning of the second semester. During the discussion, the students were evaluated linguistically by the English language unit and given notes that should be avoided in the upcoming presentations. The course teacher also focused on the scientific content and enriched it through questions and discussions.
The evaluation committee consisted of:
Dr. Hassan Abdulmutallab Muqaibel, teacher of the course
And Mr. Mohamed Salem Al-Buri, Director of the English Language Unit
And Mr. Amin Baswad, representative of the English Language Unit.
These projects are considered a pillar of self-learning and programmatic creativity, where the student selects an idea for a program under the supervision of the course instructor, then the student designs and implements the idea as an office program during the semester. At the end of the semester, a committee is formed to evaluate the learning outcomes by the course teacher, as well as to evaluate their English language by the representatives of the English language unit.
It is worth noting that the presentation program in English is held every semester for all faculty students from the second to the fourth level.
