The Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science at Al-Ahgaff University has achieved a remarkable new milestone by winning two medals — gold and silver — at the International Competition for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (iCEBIV2025). The competition was organized by Islam Bandung University (UNISBA) in Indonesia, in collaboration with MARA University of Technology (UiTM) in Malaysia.

The event featured over 80 projects from various countries, presented through the Business Model Canvas (BMC) framework and submitted via video presentations to the judging panel.

Al-Ahgaff University was represented by two teams from the Department of Information Technology, under the supervision of Dr. Hamzah Alaidaros. The first team included Eng. Hussein Balfagih, Assistant Faculty Member, and Hassan Al-Mashhoor (fourth-year student). The second team consisted of Farah Bin Madhi (fourth-year student) and Ziad Osama (second-year student).

Both teams presented innovative entrepreneurial projects that impressed the organizing committee and expert judges. The first team won the gold medal for their project SmartStock, while the second team won the silver medal for their project AutoFast. The results were officially announced on Thursday, September 11, 2025, during the awards ceremony held by the competition organizers.

On this occasion, Dr. Hamzah Alaidaros, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his gratitude to Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Baharoon, President of the University, Prof. Sadiq Omar Maknoon, Vice President, and Eng. Faiz Ahmed Bin Shamla, University Secretary-General, for their constant support and encouragement of the students. He also congratulated both teams on their success, praising their efforts and creativity in raising the name of the Faculty and the University at this prestigious international forum.
