The University of Al-Ahgaff commenced the academic year 2018-2019, where the teaching started in all its faculties in its branches in Mukalla and Tarim, while the registration is still open to the first level students in the faculties of Sharia and Law, Administration and Economics, Computer Science and Engineering.

For his part, Vice-Chancellor of Al-Ahgaff University, Dr. Sadiq Omar Maknoun, praised the efforts exerted by the deans of the colleges, their deputies, heads of departments and all the staff of the university in preparation for the current academic year, stressing on the university's continuation on the path of excellence and academic success at the local and regional levels, through the provision of the latest scientific curricula and highly experienced and qualified teaching staff.

Dr. Maknoun also urged his students to take care of the achievement of the highest levels of education and to make maximum use of the expertise and potential of their teachers to be a good building block that contributes to the development and renaissance of the country and the building of its bright future.

It is noteworthy that Al-Ahgaff University is the first civil university in Hadramout to provide free university education, and hosts thousands of students from other cities in Yemen, East Asia and Africa who study in various disciplines.
