Researcher Dr. Hashem bin Alwi Moqibel, Professor of Public International Law at the College of Sharia and Law, Al-Ahgaff University, has received a generous invitation from the Governor of Hadramout Governorate and Commander of the Second Military Region, Major General Faraj Salmin Al-Bahsani, to meet with him and congratulate him on obtaining a doctorate in law from the College of Sharia and Law, Al-Ahgaff University.

The Governor welcomed Dr. Hashim at the beginning of the meeting, congratulating him on the PhD degree, and listened to his full explanation about the content of his thesis that spoke about the protection of civilians and civilian objects during armed conflicts, where Dr. Hashem explained the comparison between Sharia Islamic law and humanitarian law with regard to the protection of civilians and stressed the precedence of Islamic Sharia over all statutory laws in this regard.

The Governor expressed his happiness with this meeting and praised the thesis of the researcher Hashem, stressing the interest of the local authority in the researchers in the fields of law that benefit the country and the people and their application in the real life.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Hashem bin Alawi Moqibel handed a copy of his thesis to the governor.
