Al-Ahgaff University held the first training course in the use of the famous video cloud teaching program, Zoom Cloud Meeting and the Google Classroom program, which was held from Wednesday, July 1 to Saturday, July 4 for the teaching staff of the faculties of Administration and Economics and the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.
The training course was conducted by the trainer, Dr. Hassan Abdel-Muttalib Moqaibel, Head of the Computer Department, Faculty of Computer Engineering and Science, Al-Ahgaff University. Under the title “The Employment of Cloud Programs in the Service of Distance Education”.
The course covered a set of key themes in the Zoom Cloud Meeting software, including an introduction to the software, registration method, software features and properties. The course on its last day covered an overview of the Google Classroom program and its application by the teacher and the student.
The course trainer expressed the importance of this course, which comes as part of the university's preparations to adopt the system of distance education, which was imposed by the global situation resulting from the interruption of university studies due to the Corona pandemic (Covid-19). As such program will allow students to proceed their studies, which constitutes a new and pioneering experience for the university.
The course was attended by faculty deans, department heads, teaching assistants and assisting faculty members.
