On Wednesday, October 26^th, the University’s Activities Department, in cooperation with the faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, was honored to host the President of the University, Professor Al-Habib/ Abdullah Muhammad Baharoon in the Great Hall of the Faculty.

He delivered a lecture entitled "The Making of False Values ​​and Their Impact on the Behavior of Individuals and Societies". The President of the University showed how some relative values are given the character of absolutely, sanctified and deified by motives mostly political and economic, such as the deification of reason in the nineteenth century and the deification of science, and people are terrorized and specific values are imposed in the name of reason and science. Professor Abdullah stated that what science produces is a human attempt that has the possibility of right and wrong and some of it is sometimes contradictory and that there are international forces that want to destroy the innate human values and religious values that Allah has legislated for the service of its own interests, it promotes vice, corruption and atheism in the name of science, and it fascinates and intimidates some people with the ornament of saying, so that they follow them without thinking or scrutiny, and they perish in the world and the hereafter.

At the end of the lecture, Professor Baharoon advised the students to strengthen the bonds of faith in Allah and His Messenger, to be free of illusions, and to investigate and scrutinize what is promoted through social media or other ideas, values ​​and behaviors that hinder them from serving and developing their community.

At the end of the lecture, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science thanked the President of the University for allocating time for his students and enriching their information and ideas.

The lecture was attended by the Vice President of the University, Prof. Sadeq Omar Maknoon, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer, Dr. Hassan Abdel Muttalib Mugaibel, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Hussein Al-Aidarous, the Head of the Information Technology Department, Dr. Muhammad Wahdeen, and the Director of Activities, Mr. Muhammad Salem Al-Buri.
